I was an accident too. My mom likes that I call myself the “bonus baby.” There’s a big age difference between me and my siblings. I ended up being my parents’ favorite (it’s pretty obvious even though they try to hide it).

You and a billion other kids. Don't worry about it, I'm sure they loved you all the same. This is only an issue for you if you make it one. You have control over how you react and feel about this knowledge. Don't let it define you. You got this!

I’m the 5th child. My mother tried different ways to spontaneously abort me. She took out her frustration on me. I no longer speak to or visit her.

My parents meant to abort me, and didn’t last minute. I used to hate them for it. I hated that my dad told me that to hurt my feelings. But here I am. And my life is beautiful.

My parents don’t agree if I was a mistake or not.

My mother liked to talk about the fact that the only reason that she didn't abort me is that her Jewish ObGYN told her he wouldn't do it as it was against his religion. I now know that is likely untrue, but wonder why on Earth she would have said that to a child?

I was a bonus baby too. I’m their favorite though. They used too hide it, but now that they’re in their 80s they don’t even try . :-D

I was the product of my mom cheating on her husband. I dont see the problem with being unplanned or a mistake.

This is a sad way to look at it. I am a post-vasectomy baby and I think of it as- I wanted to live. <3

I like the story of one friend who was an unplanned baby. She told her mother, Oh, so I was a mistake? Her mother said, No, Sweetie, you weren't a mistake; you were a surprise. 😄
