My dad has refused to speak to me in 9. Ive tried to get i touch but he wants nothing to do with me or my brother. It's very sad but we've learned to live with it.

My dad is a narcissist and likes to buy my love with money. I haven’t had a conversation with him in 5 years and it feel really nice.

It’s been 15 years since I spoke to my dad. I wish he would reach out. But I know it’s my fault and I will never forgive myself.

I haven't spoken to my dad in 5 years. He died, face down, alone in his apartment last year. I regret not reaching out in spite of him never being happy with who I was.

It goes both ways (usually). Don't put that all on your own shoulders.

I had not spoken to my dad for 25 years when he died. I was ok with this, and I hope he was too.

I wish I could speak to my dad one last time (he passed a coupe of years ago very unexpectedly)

I just went no contact with my emotionally abusive mother, and I’m terrified I will regret it.

I do too; my father died the day after Christmas in 2018, and I will never stop missing him. I am still such a Daddy's Girl, at the age of 70.
